Let Us Eat Cake

Dec 31, 2020

In this week's episode Hannah and Ali talk all things fitness. 'Tis the season for diet culture to tell you your body is wrong, so Hannah and Ali team up with body positive, certified personal trainer Kira Onysko and answer your fitness questions. How do I deal with friends and family talking about burning off their Christmas indulgences? How do I reintroduce exercise into my life when it has been obsessive or harmful in the past? How do I incorporate more movement into my lifestyle if I don't enjoy the typical ways to exercise? We have barely rested our heads after Christmas Day and the diet culture machine wants to make sure we have a plan to make up for the "mistakes" we have made. If 2020 has taught us anything it is that nothing is predictable... except for diet culture which obviously hasn’t read the memo, and keeps dishing out the same BS. Diet culture is a basic b and Hannah and Ali are excited to have Kira join this episode to give us all the permission we need to leave shame based exercise in the past.
